Parts of the steak were chewy and parts of the chicken were dry. But the tender parts...the tender parts were real tasty and delicious. Rice was great. My salad missing a tomato, yo.
Next time I want to try their giant beef ribs.

Family enjoys food from Matiki Island BBQ. Located at the end of a strip mall in Anaheim near Knotts Berry Farm. It's usually not too busy with easy parking. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Ordered the Big Kahuna plate which came with rice, Mac salad, teriyaki chicken, bbq beef and kalbi short ribs. Everything is made fresh made to order so a short wait should be expected. Food was fresh and hot. As usual everything was delicious. Definitely will be back.

Today, we ordered one chicken& rice and one chicken& meat& rice meals. It arrived warm and good. The portions were plenty. They’re definitely not stingy ????.
Everything was good except that chicken and meat were really, really sweet; too sweet for our taste at least.
If they leave the sweet sauce on the side, it would be much better.
I drank a lot if water afterwards. Still drinking after an hour.

I should of researched before I spent that much money here, it is pretty pricey.Went here for the 1st time early this month. The food was great! No lie. Felt rushed putting in my order when I visited with my little family.

Love this joint. Used to come here all the time with the boys when I lived in garden grove. The people that work here are friendly and most importantly, the food tastes amazing. They give very generous portions and anytime I’m back in Cali, I make a trip down here to get this stuff. I typically order the beef plate because I feel there’s more meat than the rib plate. However, if it’s your first time here, the rib plate is mandatory.

Food was overpriced ( around $18 per plate)
Bad quality
Under cooked chicken

Honestly I don’t know what happened before this food was good . Never had a problem until now it went downhill. Not sure if it’s because there’s a new cook but please cook the chicken better. The beef was way too chewy too many stringy fats in the meat. Won’t be coming back ever again. The macaroni was the only good thing we ate deliciousness. 1 star for the Mac as well.

Huge portion and worth the price
#1 good but tons of fat. Which is given for beef ribs. Sauce was amazing
#2 Mac salad needed some salt and paprika other than that I was bomb. Short ribs was on point, rice was good and sticky, just how I like it
Dole whip float was good. Coconut shavings were perfect!

Delicious food cooked to perfection will definitely be coming back they also had really good Mac salad
Update : got the pork and cabbage and can honestly say I’m dissatisfied with it the pork was good but wish I had more of it instead of cabbage and pork fat also didn’t get to finish my 2 sides of Mac salad due to it being watered down sitting in a pool of water from the cabbage , don’t think I will be returning here

This place is absolutely delicious. I got extra macaroni salad the kalibi beef with extra sauce and 2 cokes for 24 bucks. And I couldn't eat it all it was I can say again it's absolutely delicious!! Definitely will have to go back.
