Just to start off , I don't really write reviews , and I might add I never seen a show . So, before Kent goes about how I never seen a show or, goes off on how I work for Groundlings….I don't. I just people to know what happened in LA Connection , and see if you still want to support this place. Kent went on CF ( an acting website) and was search for actors who are quick on their feet , and know about improv. This means he was looking for actors who know the art. My daughter submitted for this, and got an audition. We drive to Burbank , and it was a long audition . So many people went , it looked like a cattle call. In this audition two people will go up at a time and Kent would give them a situation . Well, my daughter went up, and her partner didn't know what to do so, he insulted her looks. Kent should've corrected him because there shouldn't be insults about a person appearance in improv. I guess Kent doesn't know the craft. After the long audition, he comes out talks about the company which was understandable , but what he said next was not just laughable , but scream scam! He started saying he was going to call who he thought was good enough to be part of his show. In order for people to make money or be part of the show , they have to sell tickets on their own time . He did said, on the website that they would make money per show. I was thinking more like, if the show is great, and its in such a great place people would come either way. Nope! He wants people to sell tickets with a discount . He also wants to charge the actors per month to have him teach them improv! So let's make this clear; he wants actors who came to LA Connection to work as improv actors who think in return would make money , but in reality he wants them to sell tickets on their own time, act in shows , and pay him some more for improv classes?! Instead of saying their going to make some money per show he should have said , you're just working hard to give him money! Kent called my daughter, and she declined the offer of her taking improve classes with him, and selling tickets. I'm here as any angry father. Don't support this place , save your money. BTW, Kent be careful what you put online .

Respond to Kent.

Kent, did you even read what you just wrote? You give free tickets , but if the actors want to sell them at a discount they can? No one is going to make friends and family members buy tickets to go watch them and you know that. Which one is it? You bet I was inside taking video of my daughter's audition . You gave her and 50 others the same appointment time. Cattle call. Why tell the actors that they would make money when in fact need to give you money for classes? is this a theater for professional actors to make a show and make money or a school with a cheep teacher and in return you make a show and make more money for the school. I have the video to prove it. You called my daughter there was no feed back Kent all you were doing was begging her to come take your class which she decline because she already takes classes plus, she didn't like things how they are run, Kent. I'm a 50 year old man, Kent. Don't call me slanderous if you can't back it up . My daughter has a lot of experience in tv and theater. She's also in SAG union . You're really trying to throw that you're a SAG member at my face, Kent? That's why we didn't fall for your scam. You wasted our time, gas, and money because I took off work for that joke . You sound like the slanderous person you are. I did my part , hopefully others would see this.

Wow! You must be fighting the world ! My daughter is only a child never been to Groundlings, or any other place . I mentioned Groundlings because, you are infamous of bringing them up on Yelp and Google you accused people when they either call on your BS, or don't like your shows! You need to take your pills. If you're confusing my daughter with someone else, you have big problems. BTW, she didn't audition on 06/25. I don't care what you think , just stay away.

I guess when you get a one star review the reviewer becomes suspect ... That is actually the funniest thing out of this venue.
Plenty of better Impov Comedy establishments around to check out such as The Groundlings Upright Citizens Brigade IO West and many others I have also patronized where my money was actually well spent. I have been a comedy patron over 40 years all over this country Canada and Sydney Australia in my travels and business. I love to laugh. Didn't find myself doing that much at this venue.
Good marketing doesn't mean great Improv Comedy.

Great place for Improv Classes. Especially for kids classes. The class is 2 hrs and is followed by performance the same day. Highly recommended!

We stopped by the LA Connection-Comedy Theatre this past Saturday night as part of a birthday celebration. We 'd never been there before but had been to various LA Improv venues in the past. I'll keep it simple: Haven't laughed so hard or had comedy feel so good in a long time. We were watching Temporary Insanity and they were flat out funny as hell. I'm still laughing 3 days later as I remember some of what they did. Check them out. Seriously, it was just $12, and they were worth every penny of it. Guys - thank you! We all had a great time.

As part of a birthday celebration for my spouse, a group of us went to the LA Connection’s new location in Burbank. The new location is very easy to get to as well as find a place to park. We all loved the venue, every seat is comfortable and a good seat. We were not squished together like other comedy clubs. It is a very intimate setting which is nice and makes for great interaction with the performers.
We had 13 people in our group. Kent Skov couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. He helped make my spouse’s birthday, not only a special event, but we all had so much fun. One of the guests in my group works in the entertainment industry. He told me that he had been to 3 other comedy clubs recently, and LA Connection was the best by far. He said he couldn’t stop laughing. As a matter of fact, the improve performers had us all laughing.
Kent went the extra mile by bringing my spouse onstage to participate and had a fellow performer light candles on the cake back stage (I brought in a cake) and then brought out the birthday cake onstage to surprise my spouse. The whole audience sang while my spouse blew out the candles. All in all we had a fabulous time. We loved LA Connection and will definitely be repeat customers.

This is the new home of the LA Connection. Formerly situated in Sherman Oaks, the LAC hosts live comedy improvisation shows from Thursday to Sunday. They provide classes for all ages and abilities. The owner (Kent Skov) has been performing improv since the '70s. Go see a show, you won't be disappointed.

Me and my girl went last Saturday, and man, what a great place! The actors in the 8 and 9pm shows were freaking hilarious! I had no idea what they were going to do next, but it was always funny. You can buy a ticket for the 8pm show and stay for all three shows (we weren't able to stay for the 10:30 show). Best deal in town, very funny!

Used to go see shows when they were in Sherman Oaks, but now they have this great new theater in Burbank and the improv shows are hilarious. Tickets are admit two and if you go to one show you can stay for the rest. Really fun way to get your night going on a weekend. My boyfriend and I love improv and this is where you can see some of the best in the city.
