Costa Mesa, We have a new club in town and it's called STRUT!
The vibe is Las Vegas meets WeHo with a mix of Essex. I went opening weekend and immediately knew this place was gonna be special. There's something for everyone! Peacock-plumed cocktail servers, roller-skating gogo dancers, boy-next-door bartenders and downtown DJs.
On weekends you'll wait on a crazy-long line! I mean like CRAZY long. After that you enter through a fabulously neon-covered hallway a - perfect for the LYBL selfie. The hallway leads to a great view of the main room which has private tables, and benches. You can walk a few steps down to the dancefloor or continue across the room to the main bar.
The bar has a great mix of newly released signature cocktails - including my current favorite, the OHHHH HENNY! It's a tiki drink made with JD Honey, pineapple and more. It's oh so sweet and oh so good! Another popular favorite appears to be the one called DADDY ISSUES. Figures! ????

ok, The DJs they've had so far have been unreal! Including DJ Josh Peace. His spins get everyone hot and wet on the dance floor.
If you feel like you're overheating, you can retire to the lounge at the back of the building. It has its own bar with stylish decor that carries throughout - hot-pink high-backed chairs, oil paintings with gilded frames and roomy booths perfect for groups or a special tete-a-tete with tonight's insta-date. The barstools here are a little uncomfortable as you can only rest your foot on one side, but after one of their cocktails you'll forget all about that.
Unlike WeHo, the bartenders here are so nice they make it feel like home. Big shout out to Sarah Dee for assembling an amazing squad!
This is my new favorite spot and a great addition to downtown CM. If you want to see what all the fuss is about come on down and STRUT your stuff!
I really enjoyed coming here. My biggest issue though is the bathrooms. No stalls. So I’m waiting in line for groups to finish using a single stall. Waiting for the bathroom is a 15 minute affair. Did they not think to add urinals?
But I will say the music was GREAT! A nice mix of pop music with R&B, Hip Hop, and Rock. The bartenders were all incredibly nice. Definitely a gem in OC!

I always love going out here as it is like the only place in OC that has a fun, all inclusive, club experience. The staff is amazing & the music is always fantastic — truly a gem in the OC nightlife. Can’t wait to come back !!

I have been here now 20 plus time and every time we had the best time. The music is great the crowd is fun and drinks are on point. Luke Nero has created such an amazing place for all to party at and have fun. I have also done Drag Brunch few times and it's so much fun and they always have the best kweens in town hosting it. The photo room is next level as well.

Horrible experience of over priced drinks and false ads, rules and regulations to over charge customers.
Made up rules and regulations regarding ounces and how much serve drinks Lookin to get you for your money. Disregarding the high star ratings as I promise you there’re not as good as a corner, to go PF CHANGS

I was randomly harassed by a large African American “security guard” while seated at a table and told “if you close your eyes again I’m going to escort you out”, for absolutely NO REASON. First of all I did not fall asleep or even close my eyes. I was seated in the lounge looking at my phone when he randomly approached me to provoke and to harass me. Ive never had anything mile this happen before. Secondly, I don’t appreciate him threatening to remove me from the club for absolutely no reason. I would love for management to review the video tape and fire this loser. Wow, what a horrible experience. Also, the sound system is not up to standards for 2021. The sound system had little bass and poor quality sound overall. If you want to know what time this occurred, Look at your security system videos after 12 midnight in the seated lounge area where your employee approached me when I was seated checking my phone messages and threatened me.

I am beyond disappointed by my experience last night. I spent $130 plus a $30 tip on drinks for my group, and then a bit later when I asked for a water the bartender said $5 and pulled out a water bottle. When I said, oh no tap water is fine, she refused. I went to speak with a supervisor and was told “we don’t do free tap water here”. Never in 13 years of clubbing, ESPECIALLY LGBTQ+ safe spaces have I been refused free tap water. I always see people super messed up being dragged out of Strut by security, maybe if you offered water like Every Other Club people might be in a bit better shape. Honestly, the lack of care and disregard for your patrons, especially after we spend so much money, is astounding. ???? I was so happy to finally have a Safe Space in Orange County, but after last night it looks like I will be driving up to WeHo again from now on.

This is the best night club I've been to an orange county and I would venture to say all of Southern California. I drove from downtown Los Angeles just to go to this bar. The clientele is very diverse in age, race and style. I truly feel anyone would feel comfortable in this place. I'm 46 and I felt like I could enjoy my evening out with younger 20's and 30 year olds. The staff bartenders and table service were all super polite and attentive. Me and my group of three misfits from LA were never thirsty the entire night. The cost is about about $30 to $40 for a round of three drinks for a party of three. The music was top 40's EDM Remix versions and very fun to dance to. The DJ was amazing! All around great experience from the door guy to the bathroom. The only think I think could make this place better is I think the bathrooms need an attendant to clean between use offer you colognes, mouth wash, breath mints etc.

My friend and I went in for drinks after 5:00PM. The bar is super nice! Love the decorations and vibe. Our bartender, Mason, was great! He really made our experience memorable with excellent conversation and service. He encouraged us to come back for the dancing and even told us about the Halloween theme. I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Excited for this place. Thank you, Mason!

Finally! Some friends of mine invited me to join them at Strut on Friday night. I’m so glad I did, it was a blast! Great environment with fun music and DJ, different spaces to be in the crowd or take a break and grab a drink, and a beautiful space with amazing video, lighting and art. Having grown up in OC it’s so great to have a place for a fun night out within Uber/Lyft distance. You should totally check it out for yourself!
