Dolby Theatre Reviews

We were just here a couple of days ago for the Cobra Kai panel and it was amazing!! The theatre itself is gorgeous; I mean, after all, the Oscars are held here. The sound is the best around (it is Dolby and owned by Sony, so I'd expect nothing less). If you park in the Highland/Hollywood garage, the theatre is right inside and the walk is minimal. However, it's expensive to park here, so you may want to find somewhere cheaper. It's up to you.

A couple of things I didn't enjoy. When we arrived, the stars of Cobra Kai were on the red carpet doing their interviews. We stopped on the ramp (a good distance away from them) and were just watching. Some power-hungry security guy quickly and angrily motioned for us to get out of the area, which I thought was pretty rude. We weren't doing anything, nor were we close to anyone. We weren't saying anything or causing a disturbance. We were just watching. Guy was a total a**hole and for no good reason.

Secondly, I am on the Autism Spectrum and have sensory issues. The sound in the theatre is INCREDIBLY LOUD and if you are someone with sensory problems, I'd HIGHLY recommend bringing ear plugs or ear muffles to take the sound down a bit. I struggled with that.

All in all, it was a good experience, but too loud for me.

My wife and I were here for the Trumpet Award show. Staff was excellent. Very clean and cool place.

For being an expensive place, Architect and Design is horrible. Dodger stadium has a better view for $8. A computer generated design could open this and still make it beautiful. Flawed design and not getting your values worth… even if it was on a last minute deal. Avoid and recommend Pantages Theater for a Musical act with an amazing view all over the theater????

The iconic Dolby Theater was quite nice.

The parking is super easy in the subterranean lot.

I was there for the Paley Fest. I noticed an issue with my tickets after I sat down so I mentioned it to an usher. He took me to someone, who I guess was a manager, and he took me to a lady who had extra tickers. She exchanged my tickets immediately.

All 3 employees were very professional, super friendly and pleasant. The whole exchange took about 3 minutes then the usher took me to my seat.

The theater is very tall and grand inside. It has the best sound system I've ever heard. That shouldnt be surprising considering it's the DOLBY theater.

The seats are comfortable and you can actually see over the person in front of you.

Just an all around pleasant experience.

The app could've done a little better with seating choices. It wasn't clear how close seats were.

Overall, it was easy to get into and the seats were roomy. Parking was also a breeze. Definitely gotta give it up to the Dolby staff, they supplied an email beforehand that outlined exactly how to get there, where to park, where to enter, etc. Nice.

I enjoyed my visit to this Iconic venue to the Stars. It was the host venue for Will Smith's Book Launch Tour. Beautiful, comfortable interior that is connected to a shopping center and restaurants. Within walking distance there are plentiful boutique hotels that represents old Hollywood. Cheers!

They have mastered the art of crowd management. For a venue so large, we were able to get in and seated with no long wait, and it was a sold out event. Loved the Will Smith book tour event with Ava Duvernay. The Dolby was the perfect Hollywood venue.
