Jumbo's Clown Room Reviews

Went in on a whim for my birthday and was not disappointed!
Talented and beautiful dancers, good tunes, and reasonably priced drinks.
I was a few sheets to the wind upon arrival, but I don't remember having to pay a cover charge or there even being a drink minimum, making it a really fun place to go if you're on a bit of a budget. More money to give the dancers that way! There was no line to get in, and my partner and I were able to sit right up in front of the stage.
Yes, it is small and does have a bit of a dive bar aesthetic, but that's exactly my vibe being an old punk rocker so I felt right at home.

my favorite strip club. this place rocks. dancers are TALENTED.

minus one star for the bartenders though. sometimes I'll be waiting for a drink and end up missing a whole dance cuz the bartender's having a side conversation.

lots of finance/frat boys on the weekends -- would y'all consider having the bouncer enforce a no backwards hat or basketball shorts policy??

I was there with a group of five friends, pretty good time all buying drinks and tipping the entertainers as we enjoyed their sets. Unfortunately one of the older bartenders Nancy came over and ruined the night by making rude and unnecessary comments about one of my friends who was literally singing along to the music playing. This bar was by no means a quiet bar, nor was my friend behaving in anyway out of line from other guests enjoying themselves. It really put a bad taste in all our mouths and I doubt I'd go back there again or recommend it. Plenty of other places with better customer service.

It is refreshing to find a bar in Los Angels that isn't all douchey. We stopped in early in the night to grab some pre-dinner drinks. Happy hour is a great deal, with a good cocktail list, and pretty tasty nachos (we had to order them after we drooled over someone else's). I'm sure it gets packed as the night goes on, but for an early drink, it's a pretty good spot in Los Angels.

First time attending and wow this place is amazing! The theme rocks. The staff is very friendly and the girls are all so lovely. On a monday it was cracking and there's no cover charge! I'll definitely be back.

Been to Jumbos dozens of times for the past 10 years & have always had a blast. However, the last time i was there was a horrible experience. The door man was extremely rude & refused to let my friend in just because he found free start parking. My friend was accused of not wanting to spend money & was therefore not allowed inside. We tried to reason with him & the manager but they treated us as if we were disposable. I'll never spend another dollar here & have advised all my friends to do the same.

We had a lot of fun at this queer-friendly burlesque club (I wouldn't call it a strip club). Girls stay clothed but perform interesting routines to an eclectic mix of music, from '80s New Wave to modern Hip Hop. Quite a fun and encouraging atmosphere. I didn't find it at all seedy or creepy. I was there with two male gay friends and straight female friend. Recommended for a unique LA experience.

I would give less stars if this was just on service. It's not cool to harrass your client because you don't feel like accepting credit cards.

The women on stage work so hard. No need to take away their art by some narcissistic bartender. Their beauty should be the only focus.
