I made a reservation a week in advance because a friend recommended it. I let them know we were celebrating an engagement and we'd love one of the couch seating areas if possible. We arrived, waited 15 minutes which is totally fine but they had no tables available. He literally grabbed a table from a back room and said brb I need to go get chairs.. only to put the table and chairs right in front of a giant pillar/wall with absolutely no view of anything other than a slab of wood while a live band was playing and told us sorry that's all he had. The venue is cool, and looked really fun, and our reservation was clearly not considered and we won't return.
The rooftop was great though and the bartenders up stairs make great drinks with a great view.

It's in DTLA so getting there was busy. I like the presentation prior to it starting. I didn't like how long we had to wait for our tea and the 3-tier foods to come out. Overall, I enjoyed my experience :) The food choices were delicious.

Drinks were decently priced. Sad to see only 2 servers for 10-12 tables. They didn't enter in the food order and another table seated after us received theirs after waiting for ours for 30-45 minutes. Ambience was great and dj was fun.

The night started out good.Tried to get a drink, I was told to give my credit card prior to getting a drink. Which I thought was odd…. I questioned on why giving my credit cards prior to getting a drink and why I was being charged prior to getting my drink from the bar back. I was yelled at and felt disrespected as a customer. The bartender was rude and then He refused to serve me and then in front of me told other not to serve me. I asked to speak to a manager. No respect on my complaint and my perspective. Honestly felt disrespected and ignored. Wouldn’t go back.

We went here for holiday tea and KEVIN was absolutely amazing! He had a light to him that shined so positive. He took the time to explain the different tea options and made us feel right at home! Would definitely be coming back!

Seriously had an amazing time! Service is amazing, drinks are tasty. I was DD and they made a special menu of mocktails for me. Highly recommend. Also, perhaps the best thing besides the decor, the MUSIC WAS ON POINT! Mix of house, top 40, and disco. (No hip-hop at all). Super hip setting, not great for large groups but perfect for a group of 6 or less to chill. Beignets and french fries were fire! Holiday menu of select cocktails. Will definitely be returning for more... That DJ though... Damn...

I came here with my husband for the holiday afternoon tea service. They served Dammann Fréres tea which I was excited to try. The service was friendly. However, the food was so-so mostly. The dessert items were a bit too sugary for me. The atmosphere and decor made it worthwhile though! This place is unbelievably cute. I'm sure it would be great for cocktails. I'm vegetarian and they were very accommodating

The Lilly Rose located in the basement of the Wayfarer Hotel in DTLA is a cocktail lounge with a speakeasy vibe.
They have a huge cocktail list, over 20 pages long and a wide variety of liquor. The staff was super, and it was a great place to start or end your night.
Parking next to the hotel, for $6 per hour.
They offer food service, although they were “out” of at least three menu items and portions were very small, the food was good.
Once LA is fully opened, talk of bringing back magic or burlesque shows into the lounge may happen. This was a terrific place to enjoy a cocktail and not have to shout over music or terribly large crowds. Reservations necessary.
