RUDE, AGGRESSIVE, DEMEANING STAFF. DO NOT COME HERE. I came to Bar Lis and was standing near a table and the "blonde hostess" who everyone has written about on here came up to me, yelling at me that I cannot be standing there. I told her I just wanted to take a photo of the menu, and she snatched the menu off the frame so I couldn't capture it in my photo. She then threatened me, saying, "you know how easily I can kick you out of here? Do you want me to call security on you?" When I told her to go for it, since I hadn't done anything wrong, she aggressively shoved by me and grabbed security. Pointing her finger at me and screaming at me telling me I "need to listen to" her. The security guard tried calming her down and telling me not to worry as I hadn't done anything wrong. I then informed the bald male manager what happened and he responded with irritation and a lack of care. This is not how a customer, or even a human being should be treated. The bouncer at the front, "Alaska," had a power trip and was so incredibly rude. I was the first person in line, and stepped out of line for 10 seconds to sneeze. When I came back in line, he let everyone cut in front of me, telling me "you're not allowed to jump over my rope." I WOULD NEVER COME BACK HERE. Attacked, demeaned, and belated, and insulted is how they make their customers feel. Worst customer service I have ever encountered; they should be ashamed.

I came by for the NFT LA afterparty and, oh my, what a lovely bar. So glad I checked it out on the first evening of my little LA holiday. I'll come by again. The bullish cocktail with tequila and lavender they made was delicious and so were the hors d'oeuvre they offered during the event.

Great experience. Our server was A+ as well as the supporting staff. Food portions are small, but great for sharing and tasty. Great ambiance. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful, bifurcated space!! The front, where the bar is, is semi exposed to the elements, so if you or your date might get chilly at night I would highly recommend booking a table which is in the fully enclosed back section.
The cocktails are great, but not nearly as great as the service!!! Every person we interacted with was fun and light-hearted, would return for them alone!

Warning read your bill before you pay. So disappointing we went here for a friend's going away. Me and my friend order espresso martini first they delivered the martini in a champagne glass witch I thought was weird. The fist round was great the second round was sooooo sweet we had to send it back. The next day my friend tells me the replacement martinis was charged on there bill so the server pulled a fast one and add our replacement on to our friends bill wow. They also did not once clean the table we were sitting at just bad service.

The vibe is okay, the sitting area, ugh there are those small vanity stools that are impossible to sit on , very uncomfortable. Also you cant stay as long as you want. The reservation has a time limit. Was first and last time for me there. The staff is good thou.

Beautifully designed rooftop bar at the Thompson hotel with views of the city. Love the fountain in the middle and heat lamps for a brisk night. The bar staff is very pleasant though the bar itself is small. We contemplated trying the food, but frankly nothing looked very appealing and we saw reviews weren't great.

Cool vibe and decent drinks. I wouldn’t recommend any of the food I ate here. It was just disappointing. My barstool was wobbling the whole time and I couldn’t get comfortable. I felt so uncomfortably close to the people on a date next to me that I just wanted to leave. Valet parking for convenience.

This is pretty cool. I went for jazz night and was impressed with the venue, Beautiful city views, friendly staff and cool crowd. I had the burger and salmon dip which were both very tasty! I do have two complaints; 1st the music is way too loud and I'm not just saying that because I'm old, its literally deafening, my ears were ringing for hours after I left and couldn't hold a decent convo. 2nd takes WAY too long to get a drink, I stood by the bar for at least 15 mins each time. But other than that a lot of fun.

The Bar Lis reminds me the French Riviera. Beautiful, yet exquisite and tasteful. Everything is about the details and the overall atmosphere. Thank you Sarah for making this moment such a beautiful experience. We love it!
