What an incredible experience! We flew to join my daughter for her birthday party at Bathtub Gin Los Angeles. I couldn’t think of a better place for a celebration - the decor was absolutely mesmerizing, the food and cocktails were delicious, and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. The highlight of the evening was definitely the live music: my husband and I are big jazz lovers and the band was truly captivating. A beautiful evening that we will remember for a very long time.

It was great! Vibey, dark, stylish, cool. The service was great, our server was friendly and helpful. The host was friendly and flexible, and the noise level was prefect. The MooshBoosh, palette cleanser, was very tasty. And the drinks were well balanced. I will definitely be back!

Cool and classy venue but big lack of balance on the cocktails. When you charge 22$ a drink you do expert them to pleasant. Nice live music though

I had been to Bathtub Gin a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the experience. The food was mediocre. But the dining room is very chic, the drinks were good and the vibes were great. I also really enjoyed the burlesque show that they have there every Tuesday. I went back with a group of friends last night and was somewhat shocked at the treatment that we received. We were sat at a quiet table in the waiting room(!!), in the front, next to the bathroom, completely disconnected from the main dining room! Absolutely no view of the floor show that they heavily advertise. When I spoke to the manager, he promised to move us when he got a table. When I informed him that we had a reservation, he told me that 2 large groups had decided to order bottle service (they spent $1500-he actually told me this) and so he had to let them sit and enjoy their tables all night if they wanted. He shrugged his shoulder and said, "What else am I supposed to do?" Uhhmmm, honor the reservations of your other paying customers and act like you want them to have a good time and come back. No? Okay. Needless to say, he never returned to speak to us again. Not even to apologize. We literally sat in the waiting room eating cold, subpar food (do not go there hungry) all night. It was very disappointing to be treated like second class citizens because we did not pay for bottle service. If that's their policy, they should indicate it when you make your reservation. "Order bottle service or be treated accordingly." That's fair. Then everybody knows what to expect. They also left a member of our party (who arrived late) standing outside so it would look like they had a long line of people waiting to get inside. I had to walk downstairs and argue with the "bouncer" to get her in. It was ridiculous. This place is desperate and thirsty and trying REALLY hard to look like the new cool kid on the block. Good luck with that. Good luck with lasting in a city like LA that has SO many cool places (I could list them-but you get it) with far superior food and much better service! Having said all of that, you might go and have a great time. The burlesque show is so fun and the dancers are amazing. But you enter at your own risk. This place only cares about your money. And they go out of their way to let you know it.

Bathtub Gin NYC is one of my favorite spots, so when I heard they were opening in LA, I had to go check it out. It has the same beautiful decor, incredible cocktails (the gin and tonics are delicious) and great energy as the NY location, but it has its own distinct essence: less speakeasy and more illicit LA house (ok, mansion) party. I can’t wait to go back; one of the best nights out I’ve had in a while.

Awesome new spot in LA - I lived in NY so it’s nice to get some NYC vibes in LA. Prohibition speakeasy which I’m all about!

Highly recommend checking it out, great cocktails.

Tuesdays: Burlesque Show
Wed/Thur: Live Music
Fri/Sat: DJ

It's a sip of New York in LA! You feel VIP just by walking up the stairs. Unique entertainment experience, fabulous cocktails, the interior makes you feel like you are in someone's house with vintage art-deco vibes. Great for a group of friends as well as for a hot date night!

Much needed addition to the LA nightlife scene! Came here opening week and loved the cocktails, ambiance and entertainment. Great crowd, great service… can’t wait to go back!

Came here for the opening night and it was truly the coolest evening I've had in LA so far. The place feels like you're getting whisked back to the 1920's, from the unique decor to the incredible cocktails (pro tip - get the s'mores old fashioned!) The burlesque show was amazing and I can't wait to check out their live music on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Definitely going to be my go to spot!

Phenomenal space strongly reminiscent of the Bathtub Gin in NY which I was a big fan of. It’s entrance is easy to walk past on Melrose (just past their Stonestreet Coffee shop) but that’s certainly part of the mystique and allure of a speakeasy. The night we attended had a smattering of celebrities and even an almost unrecognized Bryan Cranston behind the bar bar tending his and Aaron Paul’s new tequila (not kidding). Great new spot that I highly recommend.
