Expect to wait 1.5 hours in line… unless you’re VIP, or a girl, or somebody who walks to the front of the line and BSs.

Great food and service. At night it turns into night club/lounge.

A great place to grab a quick drink when you're in ktown for dinner elsewhere. We only had Penicillin. It has a hint of ginger with weak alcohol.

Mama lion's open mic night (Singers LA) on Tuesdays is an event everyone should go see! Everyone was so talented, I've never seen live music at a bar/restaurant ever be that good - we were all blown away. The drinks were good too!

I went here for a birthday party and the vibe is really cool. They served to rearrange to accommodate love music and it worked well.

I Uber'd so I can't speak to the parking, but it's K-town. Be prepared to pay.

Drink prices - I got a well (Beefeater) Gin & Tonic and it cost me $10.

Cool place with a champagne vending machine. I mean, seriously. Plus, I was here for public enemy private party with chuck d and Sammy Sam. It was legit.

Came in on a Tuesday night because a friend of mine had informed me that they had an amazing happy hour. I never even knew that Mama lion was more than just a social lounge and that they served food.

They had amazing specials for the happy hour drinks. I believe they were $6. I got a old fashioned for that price and it was great.

My favorite dishes had to be:
-Fresh Handmade Guacamole, served with Taro chips: the guac was amazing. It tasted super fresh and I loved how the chips were healthy too because they were made of Taro.
-Crispy Brussel Sprouts, crispy garlic with a slow cooked egg: Love love love how this tasted. It surprisingly went really well with the soft egg.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing all the food here was!

Ok so I heard about this place because my gf suggested we would spend our monthsary dinner here since it's new. I agreed without really doing research about this place. The first thing that threw me off is the bouncer rudely asking if we had a reservation. Ok first off, he asked in a very condescending way, and yes we made a reservation easily. Secondly, why need a bouncer to a restaurant that is located behind H-Mart, a Korean supermarket that you can smell the fish from a block away. I know you're trying to put out a persona of being upscale, but don't have the bouncer ask if patrons have reservations or not. That's the hosts job. The bouncer just throws people off in a bad mood.

As soon as we walked in, the place was empty. As in there were only one other table occupied at prime time Sunday night dinner. As soon as I saw how empty the place was just validated my thought that a bouncer asking for reservations is a bad business move.

Moving on, we were seated and dinner was mediocre at it's best. Maybe I was already in a bad mood even before I set foot inside the restaurant. Anyway I got the 28 day dry aged New York steak. It was ok, although it could've been better. The Gf got the Bucatini Pasta, which was ok as well. We were already in a bad mood we just ate our food and didn't even finish our drink.

My final thoughts: ditch the whole bouncer thing, it just puts it out of place and throw people off even before they taste your food. I'm glad I tried this place, I definitely won't be coming back nor would I recommend it.
