Excellant! My pasta was so good! Their portions are quite generous! My friend had the steak salad and a side of fries and it was huge and very yummy. They have been on tbat corner for a long time whereas restaurants on the opposite corners have come and gone. Prank is doing something right!

Spicy cauliflower is banging. Had that and vegan nachos. Happy hour prices start @ 4pm on Sunday … and the prices are f_cking amazing. Great food & service!

This place really delivers the authentic Mexican Street Food experience. I tried the elote topped hot dog which was absolutely heavenly. The fries were also cooked to golden crispy perfection. The only downside was the bun to topping/dog ratio. The bun was a little too big for the contents.

This is a very pleasant North Beach cafe with friendly and efficient staff. My daughter works in the neighborhood and heard very complimentary things about Prank so we decided to give it a try. To be fair, I've only been to Pats once. On my visit I found the food OK. My "California Omelette" was over cooked and dry, but My daughter's "Prank Hash" was wonderful.

Thos place is like none other. Delicious drinks, perfect variety of food, both vegetarian and omnivorous, fresh fare and great atmosphere.

Excellent food selection and adult beverage selection is pretty big. Pranks outdoor seating is the main appeal, in my opinion and it’s a very chill atmosphere.

The music is not too loud and it’s a great spot to just have a meal with a chill drink.

Didn't care for the service, but the food was yummy. The caulflower wings were exceptional! Any time you make a vegan dish, you need to be sure it'll be tasty and this place delivered. The texture and flavor were out of this world. The drinks could've been better. :/ Also, why do yall have mismatched forks- it makes no sense. Finally, when I tried to order an appetizer they ran out of, the server recommended a steak entree dish which would've cost nearly 20 dollars more than the appetizer I was eyeing. I didn't appreciate that. ???? The ambience was cute, but crowded. I miiiiight be back. IDK, yet.

Tonight was my first time stopping in and we opted for dinner instead of drinks so my review is for the food and experience only, not the cocktails since I didn’t partake. I regret not stopping in sooner, it really was better than I was expecting since I thought it was just a bar prior to stopping in, but I was wrong the food is really tasty. I live very close so consider it a local place and glad I finally tried it. It’s really open and has very tall ceilings with indoor and outdoor seating as well as many TVs near the bar.

They don’t offer table service so you place your order at the bar (menu accessible through QR code) and they bring it to your table. I chose the Mango Ceviche to start and it was great. Very authentic and would be something I would order again. For my entree I chose the Chilean Seabass and for $32 it really is a great deal because it was truly very good. I have paid a lot more for worse Seabass at other LA restaurants. I would sub out the asparagus on the dish however since they’re huge and didn’t taste as great as the other parts but still I really liked it and plan to order it again. For the side I chose the sautéed broccoli and it was a great addition to the fish. The egg on top really made it.

Overall I would recommend to anyone looking for a good casual meal, especially before a game or show considering Staples and LA Live are walking distance.

Prank! La’s like first walk up bar or something like that. So fun, had a great brunch date here. Seating was quick, I think we were early because the crowd came a few minutes later but it was already looking pretty busy. You order at the bar, it’s hectic, so bring patience! The bartenders are quick with orders though, very professional. We grabbed the mimosa bucket to prep for our meal. I definitely recommend maybe four people to a bucket unless your thirsty, no judgment, we’re adults. I was thirsty apparently, we finished our champagne w ease and the food paired so well. I had the steak omelette and my partner had the French toast. I recommend getting the steak medium for the omelette, which I think was my only mistake. My mistake not theirs so I won’t let that impact this rating. I had a great time. The server even noticed a wobbly table and immediately had it fixed for another customer seated nearby. Highly recommend for a daytime date or even meeting, I saw a mix of professionally dressed and casual attendees throughout the space. Great atmosphere and though it is on the street, it’s not too loud for a great conversation.
