I can see all the negative reviews and I'm surprised as I had the best time when I visited!
My friend's band played here on a Monday night (no cover) and Tenants of The Trees is now one of my new favourite places to hang. Cool little room for bands (it gets quite loud so bring earplugs), awesome outdoor area with seating and (yes, you guessed it) trees as well as heaters for the cooler weather. Funky bathrooms and the staff seemed really pleasant too. I only planned to stay until after the band finished and ended up out until last call! Super fun way to spend a Monday.

Highly discrimimatory on who they let in, Local Hipsters are very unfriendly,
the crowd,.music, and DJ's are awesome. Used to be my favorite place dancing,

I’ve been here once and immediately felt out of place, like I didn’t belong. I couldn’t understand why. I was dressed in hip clothing. I dig the same hipster aesthetic. I worked in the fashion industry. What set me apart? Recently some texts came out from the owner. I see clearly now why I feel I didn’t belong. The owner feels black and brown people ruin the vibe and make it unsafe for women and chill people in creative industries. Well, as a woman in the creative industries, I do not feel safe in a space that does not welcome black and brown people and stereotypes us as hoodlums. The texts can be found in the photos on Yelp if you’re interested in viewing the receipts.

This place is great and offers everything you need to have a great night. We got here on a Friday night at 6:30 right at the tail end of the happy hour and they had a great happy hour deal. I normally don't stay at one place for too long but we ended up spending the whole night here. Barbarossa transfers well from a happy hour place to a fun late night place. They have a DJ at night and the place gets super popping. I would definitely recommend reserving a table.

One of my favorite bars. So fun. I love how they have different rooms with different vibes, really helps bring in a mixed crowd. Also the outdoor patio is really cool. Such a vibe at tenants! Ask for Matt, he's the best bartender

What a cool spot! I'm so happy my husband and I impulsively decided to go out for a cocktail last week. This place is super intimate and romantic- a speakeasy sort of feel. The drinks were unique and creative and the service was spot on. I can't wait to go back.

Great experience on a Saturday night! We loved Mama Jay super friendly and down to earth! Definitely recommend this bar! Loved the music and the projector on the wall! Visiting from Los Angeles definitely received great service!

I think it's a dope spot. To be honest one of the best in Silver Lake. They play great music and the vibe is awesome! Just show up early so you dont have any issues getting in.. I've been with just my bros multiple times and have never had a problem. UPDATE: Tried getting in three times now and had no luck. They are trying to enforce a 50 dollar minimum bar tab per person to enter the bar or guest list only but you can't get on the guest list unless you know the owner -_- lol wouldn't waste time trying tbh..

An indoor / outdoor bar with multiple themes collaborating at once! You have a little golden age sense when you walk in and hit the first bar. Then off to the right is a room with a DJ playing rap / dance music with all types of people dancing the night away.

There is another bar with a second DJ playing rock and roll / alternative. Through that section is an outdoor patio within the bar, but exposed to the night sky, nestled under big trees. Out here there are many little sections you can sit and enjoy the night in privacy. They also have multiple outdoor heaters for those cool nights.

It’s a very cool, fun and trendy spot. Definitely worth checking out!

So this is the second time I’ve been to this place. I do have to say if you are white, you’ll get right in. I was told along with my two other brown friends that we needed to be in guest list. We saw and verified from two parties of guys that were white that were not on the guest list, get in without issues. In this day and age, you wouldn’t think you’ll see places like this in LA that has Racial preference but that’s how it seems like. This happened two times in a row and I have enough respect for myself to realize this and not come back again.
