I love this bar! It's listed as a dive bar but it's not really divey. They can be a little pricey but have cheap drink options if you are on a budget. The bar top is this really cool marble and the rest of the decor is really pretty dark wood. The juke box is awesome! But above all: the bartender, Michelle, was amazing! Great personality, fast service, and hilarious! On a side note, like their page on Facebook to get the code to get in!

Fun place, cheap drinks and you get to hang out with the locals who are great people. I've gone many times and never got into a fight.
However...one guys thought my buddy and I were under cover cops (two tall white boys with short hair). I told him to calm down and I bought him a few drinks. Two hours later we were best friends. I love this place.
**However, I miss the days when it opened at 0600. We'd go to Dodger day-games and start our morning off at the King Eddies with the best Bloody Mary's in town.

What a place!! Just what you look for in a dive bar, good beer, fair prices, great conversation and lovely patrons - Pancake, bishop and the guy who beat up bukowski - We love you guys!!!
The neighborhood seems a bit shady but that place made us feel safe and right at home.

The night we went they were playing amazing throwback r&b...I wasn't even talking to my friend...we were both singing haha. Great HH specials for $10. I really liked the atmosphere (very dark with a back lit bar), great music, and drinks. When I went it was not crowded which made it a million times better (I hate crowded bars).

Right on the edge between hipster downtown and shaddy downtown, this bar straddles the line perfectly. If you enjoy a dive bar and good prices, this is your spot. Mr. Pancakes is practically the mayor of this bar and is so friendly and welcoming. The bar staff is great too. Definitely had a good time.

The Eddy was rehabbed a few years back. It's is still a dive, but a much improved one. The bartenders are cool. They serve a great selection of old school cocktails, many that probably haven't been served on the regular for the last 50+ years.Great prices. They also have an excellent ginger beer. If your lucky, you might get to see the old 20's speaker in the basement that is connected, still, to the old bootlegging tunnels that run under Los Angeles.
