Amazing coffee, delicious pastries and knowledgeable staff. If you want sugary espresso drinks that aren’t done correctly, go to Starbucks. If you want real coffee, go here!

Good ambiance, atmosphere, and area (alliteration for the win) to study or meet up. Ironically, as someone who abstains from drinking coffee, it is nevertheless the only coffeeshop I will frequently head to in Old town Los Angeles, CA.

Pretty great place to get some work done and enjoy some great coffee! I always stick with their cold brew, which is actually with refills, which for a snobby coffee joint is actually relatively cheap! and if you are staying to get some work done, those refills can really add up.

Very friendly baristas. Family run place. Quiet inside and good egg waffles and drinks. Recommend this if you are looking for someone quiet to read. Sometimes it can get louder depending if there are bigger groups around but of the times I have been there, it's been relatively sedate.

Came here today to wait it out while my car was at the mechanic down the street. Cool space, dog-friendly patio, free wi-fi, easy parking in the back, and delicious coffee. All good. Don't love that they charge $1 extra for almond milk and they don't have anything decaf (except a tea). There's a definite energy to this place, and if you're someone who likes loud music while you're working, this is your spot to plunk down your laptop at one of the big tables and get stuff done. If not, well...you'll probably wind up distracting yourself writing Yelp reviews like I'm doing right now. :)

I was so excited to have what a local described as "good coffee" close to my hotel. In my 3 day stay I went to this Blue Bottle 4 times and I'm not ashamed! I went to New Orleans in February and fell in love with French Truck Coffee and Cafe du Monde so I was excited but skeptical about their New Orleans Style Iced Coffee. I was not let down! It is sooooo good. I live in Southern California but luckily we have a few Blue Bottle locations down here too. So I'm excited to try their other offerings. I hear good things about their cold brew. The staff was also extremely friendly. I wish they were open later though and I would have visited even more!

The young man with dark hair working alone that day made me the most delightful butterscotch latte'. It was wonderfully sweet without being too much. Whenever I have this barista, no matter what I order, my drinks are always on point. The pastries are also to die for! (Would recommend the chocolate chip cookies) Originally I was going to give this a 3 but because of the great service, I'm keeping my rating at a solid 4.

I was in town from Seattle and stopped in on a weekend, but they were closed. However, they were in the middle of a training session and kindly made my wife and I drinks, even though they could have sent us away. The staff was very kind and willing to help us. The owner was present, and was also very accommodating and did not act bothered by us. He sold me a book that was from his marketing materials, which was technically wasn't for sale. On top of our pleasant interaction, the coffee was excellent. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a cup of coffee and enjoy the Art Deco interior of the Cal Edison Building. I wish we had such nice and helpful people in Seattle. Thanks!

I had first visited their shop in Portland while on a short trip and was told they had a location in DTLA. I was super excited because their mocha was to die for. Unfortunately this location isn't open on weekends and they close early on weekdays. On top of that they tend to have special hours where to close even earlier. It is terribly hard to find parking near this area as well.

After many failed attempts to come by I was finally able to pay a visit. I stuck to the mocha since it's what made me love them. It's definitely a good cup of mocha but it wasn't as amazing as the one I had in Portland. It made me a little sad but other than that the service was great.

Always check Yelp before going in case they have those special hours!
