Coffee options are abundant. They have an offering of continental style breakfast foods. They have adequate larger tables for an impromptu meeting. Downtown is changing, sadly, with much change over the last 15 years. I gave 4 stars for location otherwise a nice shoppe.

The service was awesome, there was a line when I arrived just 3 people in front of me, but it was fast and everybody was really polite.
Plus, the coffee tastes amazing. Highly recommend.

They brew each individual cup of their quality aromatic and flavorful coffees. I'm talking just a hot cup of gourmet coffee based on the beans, brewing time and the basics. Not a fancy frappe, or toppings or flavors. Yet better than an average "cup of joe" that's a spark to start the day. Or a pleasurable afternoon pick me up. Every time when I describe my preferences for sweeteners, etc. and leave the rest up to them, they never disappoint!

I had the most amazing decaf iced coffee here. The cream they use is delicious and my barista was very thorough and attentive. I've never been to a Philz when there wasn't a line and this DTLA location is no exception.
Update: it's relatively quiet on a Sunday morning.

A terrible choice of coffee house if you want to reduce waste by using your own coffee mug. It also is not for people who are traveling or are busy. It takes FOREVER TO GET A COFFEE. Just a regular black coffee. Forever. It isn’t piping hot either. Bummer place.

Having a bad experience at Phil’s Glendale reminded me that I needed to leave this review, because awesome service deserves recognition too. I will be coming to this location quite often now that I work near by and the service I received the last few days has been stellar. Smiles you can hear behind a mask, some jokes, and great coffee. I really like this team and location!

I've passed by this place a few times on my way to Old Town Pas and I've been meaning to check it out. Since I needed to finish my book and wanted to sit down at a coffee shop, I decided to come here. As many people who frequent Old Town Los Angeles, CA knows, there's a building with free 90 minute parking, so take advantage of it! Just remember to set an alarm ;).

I usually love coming here but today was extremely frustrating. I ordered a large mint mojito and after 20 mins of waiting they gave me a small. I told her I ordered a large she said it says small. I told her I definitely ordered a large. She looked at me then said I needed to go talk yo the cashier (as if she didn't believe me and I was trying to get a large when I paid for a small). Then she goes up to the cashier he says I'm sorry that was my fault and says it's on him (paying for a large instead of a small). 10 more mins pass by and I go in and see her handing other people drinks. I ask her if mine is coming up she says rudely rolling her eyes that they are backed up and yes. I don't understand how them being backed up has to do with my drink I already waited in line and waited my turn once she knew it was wrong she should have immediately started remaking my drink not moving onto the best order. She slams my drink with an attitude and of course it's disgusting tastes nothing like a mint mojito. It tastes like a horrible cup of black coffee. I then have to go back in there and ask them to remake my drink even though I don't understand why she was frustrated iand rude in the first place. 30 mins later my drink is finally ready. I never leave reviews but this is how annoyed I am. She had no right to assume and be mad and rude for the cashiers mistake. I did nothing wrong.

It's literally the best drip coffee in the world, and the best gift SF could give LA.
Get the Tesora medium/medium/medium if you like a blend of bitter and chocolatey and creamy and sweet.

Amazing philz branch with very friendly staff! I highly recommend the mocha tesora, it has become my recent go to drink. Vibe is great and perfect for a nice 1-2 hour work session.
