Directions to get here was horrible and confusing.
Decent hike, minimal street parking, you can make it to the back of the Hollywood sign on a steep rocky trail

A lot of fun and some great views. Definitely not a beginner’s hike, though, so don’t forget to bring water and wear shoes with a good grip on them!

Such a wonderful hike. Keep in mind this is a steep one, so wear proper shoes and bring enough water.

I don't know why the other review only gave this one star. You have a 300 degree view for 40 miles and it takes less than 30 minutes to hike each direction. You can see Downtown LA, Hollywood, The Sunset Strip, WB Studios, and Universal Studios, to name a few. It's NOT the hollywood sign trail, but the hike isn't much further! Besides, who needs the hollywood sign when you have that view?!?!

Big letdown. Google Maps mistakenly directs people up Wonder View Drive to see the Hollywood Sign. It is not there and you can’t see it! It is a long distance from here. Stupid tourists think this is something important or of some value. It is just a steep rocky rutted dirt path to the top of the hill. If you want your selfies with the Hollywood Sign behind you go to Lake Hollywood Park with all the other tourists.
