Not good path to go down... too sandy and sharp trees

Too isolated for a solo hike for women. Thick, tall brush on either side of the trail and hardly anyone was around. I did see two different men and both were behaving oddly. It was just too creepy and I booked it out of there quick.

Lower part of the Alex Trebek Open Space. This canyon hike intersects with the Runyon ridge trail and the Harper Monkey Trail back down to Wattles Garden Park. The hike features remnants of a cactus garden from an house long since reclaimed by nature. Gorgeous views of the city. Moderate hike to the top with a few dusty scrambles.
