The part of the trail next to the I-5 is only for the very adventurous. Quite a bit of this trail are very, very narrow and you’d must be EXTREMELY careful to traverse. Not for the faint of heart or for those with a fear of heights. There were some parts that had cool graffiti, and the views of the freeway were nice, but even for me as a hiker who hikes recreationally, it was frightening. I, for one, have not walked the other half of the trail, as I have only went on the trail to find the Secret Swing at Angels Point.

If you want a trail that has a view of the I-5 but is less dangerous, walk the Elysian Park West Trailhead. If you with to see the Secret Swing Angels Point, walk the Angels Point Road instead and then climb the hill’s trails to get there.

Great trail running area in the middle of downtown Los Angeles. Very pleased to have found this area while on vacation and staying in the bustling city. This park gets up a bit higher than the surrounding area so the provided views are great. The trail is semi flat as it winds around the various hills. I wouldn't say any of it is really difficult but some parts wind you around away from an easy exit. You just have to be aware of the loop or path you are about to traverse onto.

I did love the graffiti on the rocks. It added a nice LA flare to the trail.

Lots of little parks in the surrounding area to explore!

I’d have to disagree with the previous 2-star review but I also started this trail at the Stadium Way end and finished at the Frogtown Trail marker which started as a wider trail then became narrow but still safe. I would recommend hiking shoes because of some of the hills but I wouldn’t describe this hike as “expert” by any stretch. I will say that the Elysian Loop West on the other side of Stadium Way is a nicer loop.
