All reviews were true. Noisy, narrow dirt path, no rails. It’s a compact 15/20 minute hike. The return trip was more beautiful. Still worth it to go if near by

Great hike. ???? plenty of shaddy spots and ups and downs. The vegetation is varied from grass, trees, to cactus.

Short trail, great view of the vicinity.
Doesn't seem like it has been maintained.

I wouldn't reccomend this hike for little kids as the trails are very narrow and there's no fence protecting you from the edge. Definitely wear shoes with traction. The trail doesn't actually lead you on top of the eagle rock because right behind it is private property. You can only view it from a distance. You get a nice view of the city and the nearby freeway. Tiring for sure and bring water.

Simple 10 minute hike to the top. Entrance is off Patricia Way at the end of the cul-de-sac to the left of the private driveway. The trailhead starts about 10 feet on the right past the entrance and is easy to miss. If you end up on the street about 20 yards away from the entrance, you've gone too far.
Trail is very narrow with a little overgrowth at some parts, but is a fairly easy hike. There are some steep parts, but didn't need any walking sticks It's about 10 minutes to the top. At the top, you get a nice view of downtown LA and all the surrounding areas.

????????????Cool trail (advise hike on overcast day, bring snacks and strongly advise wearing hiking boots) - on a cloudy day the details of the "eagle" are better seen.

???? At the rock itself, there's a ladder giving access to the mid-level caves, and once there, one can explore the main cave, i. e., the "eagle" above [ proper footwear a must ] and a walking staff would prove useful for balance.

???? Mornings are best for this little jaunt and if your in a group, consider taking one vehicle as parking is limited.

After the hike, at home, DVD "Where Eagles Dare" and be proud you're one of the few who rode the bird. ????

Nice trail. We had young kids in our group (infant to 8 years old) but this trail may be a little treacherous for kids unless they are highly supervised.

Nice view at the top of the trail.

Pretty nice view from the highest point (not top, since thats private property!) Steep and narrow at times, not well kept! A lot of weeds covering the trail???? Too many! My dogs got a lot of splinters and sharp stuffs on their paws! Around sunset, tow trucks wait patiently to tow your car away if you are parked along the landfill road after 8pm!

Privately kept and extremely short trail. Nice and quiet. It's a loop trail, the upper loop is steps up in elevation very quickly so beware. The lower loop is a gradual ascent and provides some nice views. One mile loop at the most.
