This is a great neighborhood bar. The bartenders are very friendly. They have great drinks and the prices are great.

Employee Jocelyn was really rude. She stated that my party and I was being loud, but I know we were not at all. We are all trying to have a good time. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Last week I went in with a friend. They asked for a credit card and ID before they'd take our orders. When the bill came I closed it out with cash. A few days later I saw that they'd also charged my account. So I was double charged. Tried to call but no one answers the phone. I asked my credit card company to look into it since it's a charge I did not authorize. So beware.

The bartender was either high on heroine or stoned. Either way, we received horrible service. Unfriendly, unmotivated and a waste of money. Note, you also get frisked at the door and have to empty your pockets. Atleast the door guy was pleasant. I do not recommend this place!

Mellow little neighborhood bar where you can have a conversation. Super nice bar staff. Nice mix of people hanging out, music for everyone, the drinks are good, garnishes are fresh, prices are fair, the place is clean and cozy. Couldn't ask for more in a neighborhood bar.

Only ever been here on early weekdays. Pretty quiet, which I like. Different drink specials everynight. Bar nuts are on the house. There is a jukebox as well. Bathrooms are tidy and staff is friendly. Bar seating as well as cocktail table seating. Low light setting for chill vibes. Television for catching your fav game.

Since the renovation, this place attracts a different crowd then previously. Not a hipster bar at all, more old school echo park. Jukebox with app controls. Famous for their one shot, one beer special for 8 bucks! Board games and all the peanuts you can eat. This place is up and coming since its renovation, as it’s still lacking some character...

Been coming here for years. This bar has been recently renovated, even though it looks a lot nicer inside, feels like a lot of the magic that use to make this place fun has been lost. Miss the old staff that use to work and bartend every Saturday. Still a good little dive bar to visit and get ur Saturday night started with. There beer selection and interior decor has definitely made better though.

They redid the gold room and ruined it. Trying to class the joint up ended up making it look cheap and tacky. No more shot and beer special, no more peanuts, no more TVs showing baseball, no more charming Mexican lady making tacos, just 7$ beers and expensive cocktails. When we asked about food, they told us Rico's across the street makes great tacos. Ok, can we bring them in (there's no food on the menu)? No, you may not. Sweet, we're going to Rico's and not coming back.

The essay on the back of the menu (terribly written, single long paragraph) asks to "give it a chance" which feels a little like they know they've ruined the old gold room and everything you used to love about it. Success, gentrification screws up another charming local watering hole. Bring back the shot as beer specials and the tacos and I'll consider returning. Until then, don't waste your time with the updated gold room.

I've gotta give the bar I've been coming to for several years 5 stars. The bartenders are nice, cheap drinks, great specials, free tacos and peanuts! The place is small and pretty popular so it gets really packed. Listen to me - REALLY packed. So I've decided to retire my title as an official Gold Member. Good times. The special is a shot of tequila and a glass of PBR. I've read in order to get the free tacos, you have to buy the special but I always just asked for it regardless and I always got them. The special was $4 but I hear they recently raised it to $5. Still a good deal if you ask me. If you're claustrophobic, this is not the bar for you. Go to Little Joy up the street.
