Favorite downtown bar! Awesome patio and bartenders. Gay and trans friendly! Drinks are kinda pricey unless you like bud light.

Pretty cool environment, love the ambiance and the lighting, very welcoming as well. It was a nice place to go and have a chill time with a nice cold refreshing drink.

Its alright. Bartenders were good. Not often you have a Mojito with fresh mint at a bar. Jukebox selection could use some updating, needs more dance music. Pool sharks were very hungry.

I came to this place because Hermosillo in Highland Park is my favorite bar in LA. I was told that Golden Gopher was administered by the same people. Cowell, however, is substantially different to the more layback Hermosillo, but excellent in its own way. The wine selection is incredible and the food is high quality. A place with offers tomato bread and octopus (one of my favorite combinations in life) will definitely have my devout admiration and patronage. If you add to it a very friendly customer service, a tasteful wine selection, good music and an interesting crowd and your odds of having a good time in this bar are quite high.

Some good prices on well drinks. A smoking patio and pool table. Can be hard to get to the bar on a busy Fri or Sat.

Richly restored clean with classic and iconic atmosphere. Neat patio area and seriously stiff drinks!!! If you love a nice bar go here. Crowd is mixed but generally hip, kool vibes, juke box and a pool table

Cool subculture in DTLA. We had Bells Two Hearted and sat at an antique video game that was converted into a table. Hope to come back very soon. No frills, all grunge and cold beer ????????
