La Costena Bar Reviews

Overall Rating

Cheap beer, chill people, although there was an older latina who seems like she is always wasted or is on meth, shes weird you'll know exactly who it is when you see her. Place is a good alternative to 5star. I hit it up sometimes and that lady is always there.

Ordered a few things to go - service was really good, parking lot can be crowded but you can usually find something, and the food was good but I prefer street cart hot dogs in Seattle. Maybe I'm biased but my friends agreed.

This was an epic return to La Costena Bar. My first visit consisted of only one bacon wrap (Green Dog), dirty corn and horchata ice cream. This visit was on a larger scale...4 types of bacon wraps, two types of fries and more dirty corn. Each gave different flavors on top of a delicious frank. Flavors that deserve getting a 4 star rating.

This is my go-to gem. I take all my friends from the westside here for it's charm, decor and wine. The ambiance is perfect for young and older professionals. I highly recommend it.

Took a holiday to LA and met up with my cousins. They brought me here, and what a great place to be! Excellent beer and wine selection and I also ate some mac n cheese (spicy)...Found out one of the owners is from Montgomery and is involved in a restaurant there as well; nice surprise. Can't wait to come back to LA.

Our bartender, Scott, served us amazing specialty drinks on the menu as well others. Gustavo, our host, greeted us into such a warm and cozy venue and made us feel welcome. I will definitely be back!

Was in last night and it's a quaint bar with great bartenders. There is a good selection of beers on tap and a groovy mix of people. Huge bonus is there is air conditioning even when I went last night
On a semi hot night since nobody likes to get sweaty. Live music on the weekends and each day during the week has a new theme. For a quiet part of town it's the best dive bar around

This is a quaint little spot to get tiki drinks. Their happy hour offerings are very reasonable (take note, they don't serve food but allow you to bring it in). We tried a few different happy hour drinks, but settled on the coconut mojito as the favorite. Very tropical, very balance, great mouth feel and flavorful. We popped in right at 5pm, and there was plenty of seating, but it quickly filled up. On a hopping night, I could see it taking awhile to get a drink, but when we were there, no issues.

Great, friendly, and clean environment. Juke box has a good selection of music. Weekend nights are especially nice if you are looking for beer and some dancing. Service is fast and consistent. Best of all, you can't beat the price of beer and the snacks they offer.
This definitely makes my top 5 list.
