The LGBTQ Services Center in Hollywood has a Senior Services division at the Village at Ed Gould Plaza on McCadden which specializes in meeting the needs of LGBT Seniors defined as 50 plus years old. There are committed caseworkers there who can help determine eligibility for medical and drug assistance programs if lacking insurance or have limited means.

Other programs may help finding affordable housing, providing educational workshops pertinent to Seniors such as exercise, Yoga, meditation classes, social dance, Senior "raps", peer support groups, writing revocable trusts or wills.

There are also fun outings such as a trip to the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach, Getty Museum's Villa di Papiri in Malibu, L.A. County Fair, Wat Thai Buddhist Temple, etc.

Parking sucks but if you're visiting this location of the LA LGBT Center, you're participating in something for/with the LGBT community. Good for you.

Totally awesome facility, just volunteered with the organization that runs the place and they really know how to throw a party and it was really awesome meeting all the dudes who basically pioneered the movement :)
