Went there for the first time ever and had the best experience! First of all the owner Armando “Pancho” greeted us as we walked in and thanked us for just coming. Second our waitress Michele aka Pancho’s daughter was so welcoming and told us what the most popular dishes were. We tried several things(chicken quesadilla) (birria tacos) plus two other choices and we loved all of it. We will definitely revisit next trip to LA!!

I had heard the claims of them having the BEST carne en su jugo in Los Angeles....and I can now say that I believe that they do. It was so delicious. I'm not sure that I'll be able to order it in any other restaurant from now on.

If you can't make it to Guadalajara for Carne en su Jugo, I recommend you go here; best I've had in LA! Small, unassuming place with quaint decor that makes you feel like you're at a small establishment somewhere in Mexico. Their Barbacoa was soft and flavorful; not the best I've had but definitely worth going back for. The fried Potato Tacos were also delicious. Don't expect to get a beer or margarita here, though...no alcohol. Staff was very friendly and the prices were more reasonable than I expected.

Long wait to be seated on a Sunday, but it was worth it. The carne en su jugo and the tacos de barbacoa were delicious! It seriously felt like you were eating somewhere in Jalisco.

Had a wonderful time here. The food was very down to earth and gave us a feeling of home cooking, DELICIOUS home cooking!

The food was really good, loved the tacos. So reasonably priced, hope they dont sell out and start a chic resturant in Hollywood...i.e. Bludsoe's BBQ.

super restaurant!! Delicious food, good prices and friendly staff. The carne en su jugo is amazing, as are the tacos de barbacoa. I hope to come back in the future!

I came here because of the Google reviews. Overall, this place is overhyped. It suffers from aesthetically pleasing food that looks good but tastes average except for the barbacoa tacos. They were amazing, spicy and tasty!
The place is nice and is an enclosed outdoor setting. The decorations were nice as well. The service was also slow because they only had one server and she was really nice.

JALISCO MÉXICO (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Sometime during your first visit to the original Carnes Asadas Pancho Lopez, maybe around the time your agua fresca arrives at the table before a meal, you start to appreciate the surroundings enough to know that it will be your goal to become a regular here. The covered patio, corrugated metals, decoration and atmosphere are about as transportive and comfortable as possible, a direct flight to a sunny Guadalajara day via a short trip to Lincoln Heights.

Great flavor. Great portions. Variety. Highly recommend. They are two locations in Los Angeles and city of Industry near La Puente
