Honestly it's our first time going there me and my family...I give it 3 stars because the food was ok not the best spot in my opinion...and not letting us sit inside in a hot day because we didn't have vaccination cards and ID thats ridiculous..the tlayuda had way too much pork paste!...anyway so far for me the best spot is in Santa Ana!..

The food at Guelaguetza is unlike anything you’ll find in LA. We had an opportunity to grab a seat at the bar and order lunch. We were served by a wonderful guy named Eric. I could go back again and again and order everything on the menu but this time we tried the barbacoa tacos, the mini taco sampler, the Chile Colorado, the chili rellenos, mucho mezcal, and believe me all of it was unbelievably good. So many reasons to return. Now I want to visit Oaxaca.

Food is superb and delicious. This is the most authentic Oaxacan food. With that said, the restaurant is extremely busy and service is compromised. The poor waitress had to bus her own tables and some had very large parties. I asked for hot sauce or salsa for my meal and it never made it to the table. I asked 3 times for a to go box and not until I got up and asked again, I finally got it. I didn't like the fact that the check was not presented to me for review. The waitress just gave me a total to pay and the tip options. I noticed everyone else was paying the same way. Considering how much the restaurant charges for food, there is room for improvement.

I love the experience here. The waiters are so nice and answer any questions we had and made suggestions. Definitely an acquired taste if your only used to tacos and burritos. I loved it. This is the way to do it! Oaxaca style mole!!!! Tip these waiters more on your next visit!

Wow absolutely amazing and delicious food.. Paulina gracefully provided lunch and it exceeded my expectations. The chicken tamale has exquisite flavor and the horchata is to die for.. cant wait to try other food items.

What a fun and delicious dinner. We had high hopes and were not disappointed. The mole chips were so good. I hadn't had anything like this before. For dinner we had the Mole Negra and veggie Tlayuda. We ate too much. Portions were big. But these dinners were just yummy. We had the choco-flan for dessert. There was a live band which gave a festive mood for the crowd. A perfect night.

Muy aútentico! Absolutely must try if you love Mexican food; it's Oaxancan. The Hibiscus drink was so delicious. Call a head and get reservations for this gem. Parking is right outside the restaurant.

Great food ,and excellent service, food should of been more hot. I rate hotness of food 6 out 10. I'd say that the only issue. Also suggest use valet parking only $7 .

It was worth it to go once but I probably wouldn’t return. The atmosphere is great with live music. $7 to park. The food, especially the moles was very flavorful, but the accompanying chicken, tortilla and rice were bland; I understand the mole should dominate but the food paring was underwhelming. Service was just okay? Waited for ten min before I had to grab utensils from another table as we sat at the bar.

At first we were kicked out. They said we had to wait to be brought In by an employee. But no one was present when we got there not our fault. We were seated promptly that was good. Food was tasty like I remembered it 10 years ago. If u want to try Oaxaca food go here you won't be disappointed.
