Popular noodle soup and bossam spot in KTown. Came here with a friend on a Friday evening around 7:30pm and there was a long line, but we ended up only waiting for 20 minutes. You order at the door before getting a seat. Credit cards accepted. There’s two single occupant restrooms in the back by the drinks machine. Indoor dining only (no outdoor options). Valet parking or you can try your luck with street parking.

We got a medium bossam and a small kalgasuku (spicy seafood). The seafood included were shrimp, mussels, and clams. The noodle texture was perfect. The bossam was really tender and comes warm, with a side of garlic, jalapeños, radish, and cabbage. They give you two sauces to dip the meat in, but it’s flavorful enough on its own. The waiters were busy but still nice. They give you a small serving of rice as well as banchan. They do have alcohol. It seems more suited for a small group given the restaurant size, but there was one large group there.

Overall, this was a busy spot with a focus on noodle soups and bossam.

Their milmyeon was solid! But the spicy one was similar to jjolmyeon which meant no characteristic. Bossam was good but bossam kimchi was little sweeter than my expect.

It was so excited to try chicken noodle soup. I’m actually really like the appetizer more than the noodle. The small side dishes of rice is so flavor and good. About the chicken noodle soup, the broth was very rich and creamy. The food is very authentic and flavorful!

Amazing food! Though the food tends to run pricey, the portions fit the pricing quite well, so be prepared to take home leftovers. The inside of the restaurant has a nice, warm, vibrant atmosphere. The staff was just attentive enough but not overwhelming. We got seated immediately considering we got here around 5pm and the server took our order exactly when we decided, so no time was wasted.

Their noodles are supposedly made to order, and they definitely tasted as such! They were really chewy and tasted super fresh. The soup came out really hot. I ordered the spicy seafood kalguksu and the spiciness wasn’t super strong as Korean food can be, but was just strong enough to complement the seafood, noodles, and veggies that came with it. Overall, some of the most satisfying Korean food I’ve ever had at a restaurant in the US and definitely would recommend.

Omg this place was delicious! The pork platter was one of the best things I’ve had on my L.A trip. The chicken noodles soup’s broth was so flavorful and I’ve never had anything like this before. They don’t cheap out on the quantity of food either. Super recommend this place!!!

We came here many times and never disappointed. Came here before 7 pm on Friday night. Not too much wait. Valet parking $3. Side dishes are refillable. Food are delicious.

Food is delicious! There is always a line for dine in, but it doesn’t take a long time. It worth the wait for about 10 minutes. The price is also reasonable. But the parking is a problem, they force you to use the valet, and charge $3 for it. You can’t even park by yourself even though it’s an open parking area.

Hangari Kalguksu specializes in Kalguksu. I mean, it's in their name. There are a few different variations on the soup that you can get. You can get a soup with dumplings, with clams, or half a chicken. The half a chicken is a literal half a chicken, but it is small. The portion sizes on the soups are giant. I was hard pressed to finish mine, and I saw another table sharing a normal sized bowl amongst three people! There are other dishes including their bosom, and other Korean soup variations. All of them delicious!

The chicken kalguksu is perfect for cold winter days. Pro tip: add a side of dumplings in the soup! It soaks up all the good flavors. My only issues with the dish are with its saltiness and the dryness of the chicken. It can easily feed 2-3 people.

Beef bulgogi looks very Western-style. I actually enjoyed it with the side salad!

No wait on a Monday night. Def take advantage of the $3 valet parking.

The bibimbap and noodles here are fantastic. We got the large chicken noodles for 6 people, and it ended up being so much food we couldn’t finish. The broth was very flavorful and the chicken was extremely tender. Even though we couldn’t manage the eat all of the noodles, we drank all of the soup (couldn’t let it go to waste!). If you’re looking for comfort food, or just a solid place that serve something delicious and healthy, highly recommend.
