Overall Rating

Pandan horchata was so delicious and I loved the laing potato taco. The tocino pastor taco is good, but I loved laing potato more.

Really tasty and well made. Asian seltzers are a great touch. Loved the Tucino bowls, the tacos meats were perfect, may have benefited from some salsa type situation, but had Mae ploy from the lumpia, also good. Dug the fun decor

Paid over $14 for a bowl of just rice, little to none veggie, and 5 small pieces of protein, I tried to support local business but this is just overpriced for me(on the upside it tastes good tho)

Small little restaurant! Friendly Customer service.. you Must order Online, they do have QR codes.. or simply go to their website.. meals take about 15min give or take. I tried the. Talib Kawali (gf) which consists of (crispy marinated pork belly, with housemade cucumber salad, atsara, cilantro chimichurri)
with a Sunny Egg and Garlic Rice
I have to say, it's absolutely OUTSTANDING! The rice was soft and with flavor.. the Pork had that crispy in the outside, soft in the inside texture.
Very satisfying meal.. I would say they do need a homemade hot sauce.. but you can get Sriracha and chili oil on the side
Price is in the $10-$15 range.. I'd say the Talib Kawali was super worth it
.
Highly recommend.

Ok; I will come clean.. even though I am giving HiFi Kitchen on Beverly a 5-star review, the truth is I have only had one dish that they serve there, the Chicken Adobo with steamed rice and string beans. What I am really getting at it is when HIFi Kitchen initially opened it was the first dish I tried. It is so superb. And, it has been as excellent every time I have had it since ordering it the first time. It is sooo freakin delicious and perfect; I can't say enough about how good the food in that dish is. The other cool thing is you don't feel bloated after eating it but your hunger has been fully satiated. So later in the day if you feel like brushing up on your old gymnastics tumbling routine you can do so without feeling like a beach ball rolling in the sand.IN fact I am gonna have for lunch today. Well, go to HiFi and try it yourself, and if and when you do, you'll be thinking, "He was right; It's really Good!"

Since originally posting that review, I have tried the pork lumpia... yummy!

Great little joint in my favorite area of Los Angeles, Historic Filipinotown. Right across from the Boba Guys and Unidad Park, be sure to stop by this kitchen for some inspired Filipino food. Aesthetically, you won’t find anything else like it. You will find the wall art and the art-installation behind the counter reminiscent of 90s hiphop. While the storefront is small —with a bar for seating— you won’t regret taking your food for takeout and eating it at the mural across the street.

However, this is not just your mom or Auntie’s Filipino food. It’s Filipino’s food with a twist. A lot of the items here are in a silog style —meaning a rice bowl with a main dish. What’s cool is that the food interpretation feels like a Filipino American rendition of authentic meals. The dishes are aesthetic and healthier with modern garnishing, while still being distinctly Filipino and true to its roots.

I ordered the Laing with cauliflower and the lechon kawali. While I’m not usually a fan of the taro leaves in coconut of laing, the bite from the roasted cauliflower gives it enough substance to complement the side of rice. Also, the lechon is perfect —a crisp bite of pork skin and a soft meaty center. Don’t forget to try their deserts too. The ube custard is a perfect creaminess to top off your meal.

Wow! Not too spicy. This is so rich. I will definitely try their vegan version soon.!

Oh man! Best Filipino takeout that I've had in SoCal. Ordered lumpia, chicken adobo, spaghetti, and ube desserts. The adobo was delicious and was as good as my mom's. The spaghetti was insanely good. Got the food delivered to my hotel via the Caviar app. The only reason for 4 stars is that they forgot a soda, which is fine... it happens. Overall, I'll definitely order from this place again.

Ordered the medium spicy versions of their vegan entrees: mushrooms adobo and kaldereta both served with steamed rice. Flavors were on point and did not disappoint. Price point is reasonable. Decor brought me back to the 90's. Great option for the meat and plant-based eaters in your life.
