The food was delicious and the service was great. Definitely one of LA's up and coming hidden gems! The owner was fantastic to us. Its a new restaurant and the vibe here is really good.

We had an excellent breakfast there on a Friday morning. This is not a place to come if you are in a rush. It was definitely managed by people who care about their customers and the food they serve. The staff was very friendly and they were all family to one another so they take pride in what they deliver. We sat outside and the set up makes you fees like you are in a small restaurant in the Caribbean. Just gorgeous. Will be back there again.

I'm editing/removing my review due to Dr. Benjamin's response - thank you, sir. ???? However, I am leaving LA on Monday night, so if I am not able to stop by to use the credit by then, can you please donate a meal to someone who needs something to eat? That would be appreciated. Thank you.

Cute locally-owned spot. The restaurant was great and so was the B&B upstairs. The owners were friendly and helpful and ensured that everything went well. The food was delightful, too!

What a jewel of a restaurant in the Mid City area of L.A. If you want a Melrose feel and excellent food this is the place to go. Relaxed atmosphere and the owners are fantastic. The decor gives you an island feel and there is lots of seating inside and outside. I am breakfast person so I highly recommend the blueberry pancakes which are delicious. Its on the corner of Pico & Orange Dr.

Amazing place with amazing food that represents the culture. The decor of the cafe, hotel, and spa give you that real island feel. They will treat you amazing here and I wouldn’t choose anywhere else to stay in Los Angeles. The hotel is extremely clean and very cozy with no issues whatsoever, as well as parking being the least of my concern. 5 stars would recommend to all my friends!

We are very excited there is a wonderful restaurant within walking distance. For the past two Sunday's a several of the neighbors have gotten together and walked down to the cafe for a mid-afternoon brunch. Each time has been a delicious dining experience; leaving us wanting for more. The portions are very large... can you say dogie bag! I love the grilled lamb, curry chicken and the shrimp (several pawns) pasta dishes. I get the 1/2 & 1/2, making sure my husband gets one of my other favorites. The dessert...Wow! The owner, who is also the chef uses his mothers recipes. You can taste the love. His lovely wife is very personable, stopping by the tables to welcome the guest. When the chef has a chance he pops out as well. Although reservations are not required, give them a call let them know you're joining them this Sunday (11-6 pm). Support our local eateries.
