Definitely worth trying. I love this spot for breakfast and I have not been to anywhere cozier ????????

I have taken my dog there and have sat outside and and inside. They offer a great variety of food. They also have this great pop tart that usually sells out so you have to go early

The wait staff was great. Food was good, but I felt the corned beef I got was lacking a bit. Hard to say exactly what. Maybe both sides should have been grilled. The eggs were also a little over. The biscuit was great. Be sure to ask for jelly if they didn't bring any.

It’s been about five years since I’ve eaten here and I’m so glad it hasn’t closed. The food continues to be delicious and well priced despite inflation.

I got the 10¢bag and it was really yummy. The specials offered were yummy and the desserts too!

Sad they did not have their red velvet cake. It used to be legendary!

All I can say is FOOD IS AMAZING. I would eat there every Sunday if I wasn't so concerned about my summer body. Chilaquiles, Fivecent Bag, burrito and pancakes are my go to. I sometimes order and just pick it up when I have company. Plus EVERYONE is so nice. I mean EVERYONE.

Just a fabulous place. Homemade Pop Tarts! Outstanding. The homemade biscuits with jam were great as well. Excellent menu and great customer service. Say hi to Christine the owner. She's super nice!

Had a lovely experience at Nickel Diner. I ordered the chilaquiles plate with eggs over easy. Their tomatillo sauce was delicious, I wish the dish came with more than a thin layer of black beans and less of a mountain of tortillas. Tasted wonderful though and the staff was kind as well. Order a side of the potatoes, they are well seasoned and delicious!

This place is definitely a throwback (even the customer service). Oldies playing, old school retro feel, with hardy comfort breakfast choices. Best breakfast I have ever had in Downtown LA. They have homemade pop tarts as a special!

To start, the service and courteousness of the entire staff was both warming and impressive.
Now for the food… The biscuits there, are some of the most fluffy, melt in your mouth, tasty deliciousness, that immediately brought me back to my southern roots of homemade biscuits (Louisiana). Over all the food was delectable!!! I had the very tasty and moist berry French toast and my husband had the Daddy’s breakfast burrito which we absolutely LOVED!!!
The owner (I’m so sorry I did not get her name) was so attentive, down to earth, and very hands on which was very welcoming.
Chef Monica, it was a pleasure to met you
and partake in such incredibly delicious food!

In my top 3 favorite breakfast spots in all of Los Angeles. They are closed Monday through Friday to assist the homeless community. Not only is the service incredible and everyone is very nice but the food is delicious. Probably the best maple donut I’ve had in LA and the Chicharrón Chilaquiles did not disappoint! I would recommend to anyone it’s delicious.
