There were no pronounced flavors at all in the salad, feta dip or dumplings. Maybe we ordered wrong.

This place serves modern, slightly hipster takes on Romanian comfort food and it's absolutely amazing. My favorite spot in the neighborhood.

We had the paprikash, and WOW there was so much incredible flavor. We’ll definitely be back!

The Sarmale- stuffed cabbage rolls were delicious. The mamaliga, Romanian soft creamy polenta was hearty. & u don't want to skip on the vegetarian appetizers vinete & zacusca. Delicious & light. I could eat there everyday if I lived close by. Very friendly & welcoming.

Loved loved all the dishes that we tried along with the drinks. So worth the drive from our Airbnb. Hearty and tasty food that filled us up for the rest of the day.

I love Parsnip more than words could ever explain. If you never tried Parsnip while they were in Highland Park, come make the trip to Glassell. You won’t regret it! Highly recommend their cucumber soup, any of the desserts, and the chicken paprikash!

I love this place. It's so yummy and they have so many gluten free options, I'm in heaven. The dumplings are amazing not quite like any dumpling you are imagining but heaven I tell you...

So I kept on passing this place and thinking it’s something that is pretentious and sells some snake oil cleanse or something...
Boyyy I was Wrong. One night I decided to stop and take a peak inside.
I was greeted by a Hungarian guy and another cool guy as well behind the counter.
Extremely friendly and patient.
I looked at the menu and I was ???? I have no idea of what this is.
They explained to me about the chef that owns this place and that the food is ROMANIAN with regional influences. I got really excited bec I love trying new types of food.
I ordered the Chicken Paprikash. Soo good & lots of flavor. Big portion.
Veggie Barley. New flavors and very filling.
Potato balls/Dumplings. One of the BEST things you will ever eat PERIOD. They are big but totally worth it. My goodness I loved them.
One of the things I love about this place is that it is totally AFFORDABLE and with good portions and higher quality food and amazing cuisine.
Def going back to this spot.

Tiny Restaurant...HUGE Flavor! Oh my, can you say "comfort food"? Went out of my way to find this authentic Romanian restaurant, and it was well worth the hike - even though it' so small I drove by it twice . (HINT: look for the BLUE building). Carbed-out on the flatbread stuffed with potato and chili, fried polenta balls and fried polenta. Each item was only $5-$6, and I ended up having enough food for three meals. Make sure to try the jalepeno-cilantro-onion relish on everything...it's that good.

Parsnip is a great unique place tucked away on York Blvd. The food is very flavorful and hearty. I can't remember if I've had Romanian food before, so all the flavors were quite unique for me. The sarmale was probably my favorite dish of the evening.
