In Los Angeles, nothing compares to Nancy’s artisanal pizza dough which is front and center at Pizzeria Mozza. I’m a huge fan of everything Nancy creates, and if you want to enjoy her foods first hand, look no further than her block of restaurants on Melrose which include Pizzeria Mozza, Osteria Mozza, and chi SPACCA.
We ordered the Primavera and the Fennel Sausage pizza this last time - both of which are delicious! For appetizers, we got a simple salad (Insalata mista) and an order of the white bean bruschetta which is delish!
Definite recommend if you’re looking for delicious food with exceptional quality!

This place is so so cute!! My boyfriend made reservations for dinner here and we were able to get seated right away.

Parking is a bit hard in the area but they have valet for $15.

The restaurant has seating located in the back alley so don't be alarmed when the hostess takes you through an alley first, it's all part of the experience.

They asked us where we wanted to be seated and we chose a seating up the stairs because it was more secluded and you get a romantic view from up top. If you get lucky, you might see fireworks like we did!

I was a bit confused because some Yelpers posted pasta photos on this Yelp page. However, don't be mistaken: this is PIZZERIA mozza so only pizza is served. If you want pasta, you'll need to eat next door at OSTERIA mozza!

We ordered to start with Arancini alla Bolognese and 2 pizzas as our main dish: the Funghi and the Meat pizza. Wow...both were absolutely delicious!! I was blown away by the meat pizza but my boyfriend enjoyed the Fungi pizza more. Both were cheesy and the bread was fluffy and yummy. I absolutely loved the meatballs and the margherita sauce.

We also ordered the popular dessert Butterscoth Budino but it was just ok: a little bit too sweet for my taste. The cookies it comes with are also too herby for my liking.

✨ Book for outdoor seating! It's such a unique space and a completely different vibe, you'll spend half the time wondering what the heck this back patio space used to be. As the host walked us down the alley to our reservation, he described the experience we were about to have as very "Lady and the Tramp" ????

???? The food is amazing, probably some of the best meatballs and pizza i've had in LA. Every bite is packed full of flavour - make sure you leave room for dessert!

???? The service was impressive. We had probably 3 different servers attending to us throughout the night but they communicated well with each other and each of them was aware of any requests or orders.

???? The only difficult thing here is parking - it's valet only, or you can choose to park on the street but it's near a very residential area so there are lots of parking restrictions.

Wonderful experience. Our server Shane was very knowledgable, helpful, and kind. My husband and I originally were planning for take out because we were passing through with our dog. The host informed us that they had a pet friendly patio out back and could seat us right away! We were excited to dine here after seeing the Chef's Table episode with Nancy Silverton, the head chef. We had a lovely evening on the cozy patio. We loved the food, the wine, and the atmosphere. The staff were all so kind and very accommodating with our dog. I can't wait to visit LA again to dine here!!

Best vegan pizza I have ever had. The cheese is great which is hard to nail with vegan options, and their pepperoni is also delicious. Their vegan mac and cheese slices they have on Sundays are bomb. People there are also very nice. Highly recommend!

Pizzeria Mozza is Italian-approved! I was underwhelmed by the white wines (3) we sampled and by the chicken liver bruschette (I looove the traditional buttery Tuscan recipe with Marsala wine, whereas this was a light, zesty take on it), but the Burratina Pugliese and the zucchini blossom pizza were absolutely delectable ???? the peaches and pepper IPA I had was also lovely. I'll come back for that Burratina, you wait and see!

I really enjoyed this restaurant and it’s ambience. The staff is really nice and welcoming and the food is great. Try the Aran ink and mushroom pizza ????

A couple of reasons I gave it one less star was that we asked for extra marinara sauce on the side and were charged for it. Thats more than a little lame.

Another reason was, I wasn’t too thrilled with my Asian inspired up pizza of the week/month/whatever the special it was that at the time. While the pizza itself is tasty, they definitely skipped on the toppings and it was mostly dry pizza dough, very little sauce and cheese unlike the mushroom counterpart – hence the reason I asked for the marinara.

Amazing food, we had the best gelato of our lives. Fair decently priced for La Brea eats, aside from the absolutely egregiously priced $10 bottle of San Pellegrino, like, for real? It was so high I laughed. Got the meatball pizza, the ‘ndjua pizza, the arancini, and the gelato. Could have don’t without the arancini, it was okay, nothing spectacular. The pizzas were stunning, delicious layers of flavor, the crust blew us out of the water. I’d eat here again and again. Just with some things in mind next time.

My boyfriend and I wanted to try a pizza place and this place popped up on our recommendations, needless to say, it DEFINITELY is the best pizza place we've ever been to. Though it is the first pizza place we've been to in LA, this set the bar so high for all the other pizza places we'll try the next time we come back. We thought the portion was small but it ended up making our stomachs full. You know it's healthy when your stomach feels full AND you feel good. We'll definitely come back here when we come to LA again!!!

Simply stellar. The most "Italian" dining I've had outside of Italy. When you view the menu, nothing looks terribly special. Everything sounds nice, but normal. You'll order a few things to share. And when you have your first bite - it all makes sense. This place takes the best quality simple ingredients and makes incredible meals from them. No crazy prep, no mind bending presentation - but the best way that simple, quality ingredients can be prepared and presented.

My third visit, every dish just soars. Just go - you'll love it.
