This is my favorite place to get Red Beans & Rice and if has the perfect "kick" to it! I love every dish I've had so far and I'm from GA, so I am very picky when ppl label themselves as a "Cajun, "Creole" or "Soulfood" spot, but thus place is on point!

Eh. Seafood gumbo was nothing but rice, 3 shrimp and hella soupy. Not even close to Louisiana cuisine. Cornbread hard and potato salad wasn’t very good. My first & last time here smh

I had the frog legs, collard greens, corn bread and an extra side of red beans and rice. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! The only complaint I would have is 4 frog legs is rather skimpy seeings how I paid nearly 20 bucks for the meal. Six would suffice.

This food was so freaking gross. The potato’s were undercooked and the rest of the potato salad was soupy it literally drips the gumbo was a flavor less mess…I can’t believe they are calling this Cajun food it was very disappointing and disgusting.DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!

Took my granddaughter to lunch at the Gumbo Pot in the Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax in Los Angeles.

Service was friendly and efficient. The place was clean and well organized. Food prep was prompt.

I had a fried oyster po' boy, excellent, and a side of red beans and rice without the rice. I always order red beans and rice without the rice. It was delicious.

If you like New Orleans cuisine, I highly recommend the Gumbo Pot.

Soft shell crab Po'Boy was skimp, had flimsy lettuce, and a little costly ($13 plus $3tip in the jar)

We'll be giving this place another shot another day since we didn't actually have gumbo or a po boy. We came to the Gumbo Pot not to long after they had opened their doors for the day and tried the crocodile tail (fried), cornbread, and greens.
Our experience wasn't great. The cashier had a bad attitude and was not friendly while we asked questions and was trying to rush us through (no one was in line). The cornbread was really difficult to eat and dry. The cornmeal breading was flavorless and so was the crocodile meat. The greens were decent, needed salt. The remoulade for the crocodile was fantastic though.

I had the shrimp po'boy. I wish there was a little more shrimp but overall it was good. $16 dollars is pricey for a sandwich.

Food was amazing! When I'm in the area I'm going back. I had their catfish po'boy, one sandwich is plenty for 2 people but it was so good I ate the whole thing! Fried okra, delicious! Fresh oysters, so good! Price was good.

Such a great restaurant at Farmer’s Market! Today was my first time eating at The Gumbo pot and it was Excellent! The Gumbo Ya Ya was so delicious & the cornbread muffin was a perfect match! I also got the potato salad as my 2nd side dish and it was tasty as well! We ordered beignets and they were as good as the beignets in New Orleans! Can I say that the Iced Tea is really good as well. It’s fresh and brewed with a slight flavor that isn’t overpowering. My friend got the Muffelata sandwich and she Loved it! Everything was Soooo good! We will be back!
