Pretty poor experience just purchasing ammo here. The guy was kind of arrogant and as the other reviews have stated, it's one guy and sometimes he's not even there during normal business hours.

Guy working there by himself was gonna overcharge me for a firearm and still cost me a good penny to cancel the order, Ended up somewhere else trying to purchase a firearm but can't cause the DOJ says I've attempted to purchase a firearm within the last 30 days yet my background check or DROS never even happened at neilsons! So it was said.

I went with my friend to pick up ammo and it was a great shop & fast service the customer service was so polite & helpful.. (^_^)

Lonnie is kind and professional and knowledgeable about California gun laws, he helped me pick out my first handgun and rifle. 10 out of 10 will come here again. PS I know there is a ammo shortage going on right now and he has ammo in multiple calibers.

Be very careful buying from Lonnie. He is VERY disorganized and was unable to locate my order that I had shipped to him. I had to go back a second time which was 20 miles each way to pick up around $100 of ammunition.
He STILL charged me the $5 transfer fee!! I even pointed out to him that I wasted my time and gas coming back a SECOND time due to his incompetence and mistake in not being able to find my order when UPS said he signed for it!! Terrible business decision and customer service. In all fairness, he did purchase replacements after losing my order but I still had to come back to get them...
Also, he is a one man operation so you can expect to wait up to 30-45 minutes or more just to get his attention. He has almost no guns at all in his one-desk storefront around 10x10 room.
Everything must be ordered online and he cannot be trusted for a seamless transaction. Again, he is very very disorganized, boxes everywhere...
You have been warned.

I did not like service the guy forgot to put my application for my background check I had to wait literally 2 months just because he forgot to send my background check and he still over charge me for a gun I will not buy here never again rip off.

Although I live 20 miles away from NielsenArms, they're definitely worth the drive, easily my go to for FFL services. The owner is knowledgeable and able to provide information in a straightforward, non-condescending, and down to earth manner. Of all the FFLs I have dealt with, NielsenArms is by far the most personable, prompt, and communicative.

Nice small shop, the owner is nice and knowledgeable. He spent time with me to help my pick exactly what I wanted for my first handgun.
