Went with a group of 4, Peter was super awesome, explained the steps in a very beginner friendly way, and answered all our questions without rushing or ignoring. Totally felt like a genuine surfer bro helping out beginners, much love!

Mike was a great instructor! We first practiced getting up on the board on the sand and then went out in the ocean. He gave great tips while out in the water which allowed my friend and I to stand up on the board and ride the waves on our first lesson. I definitely recommend learning to surf here!

Wanted my girls (age 16 & 17) to have a great experience learning to surf for the first time like I did many years ago. Go Surf LA exceeded my expectations and their instructor (Mike) did an amazing job. My girls had a blast and can’t wait to surf again. I’d highly recommend this place for a first time lesson if you are searching for one in the area. Solid 5 stars.

My private lesson was with Brian (s/o Pipes!). The waves were pretty rough during my lesson and I felt totally safe and in control under his care/instruction. Friendly and professional. Learned a lot and had fun! 10/10 experience!

Jeffrey was an amazing instructor!! He kept cheering me on until I was able to stand tall on the surf board. Go Surf LA has the best instructors in Santa Monica!! Overall the best experience ever!

We had an absolute blast! This was my first time surfing and these guys had us up on the board so fast. Our board instructors Princeton and Pipes were awesome. 10/10 recommend for a weekend activity!

I took a private lesson from Mike. He is a great instructor and very kind. Larry took pictures of me and it was all awesome and he was also very friendly. Justin also got me their cool shirt and I love it! Everyone should come here to learn how to surf. Definitely recommend.

My girlfriend and I came here for a surfing lesson while on vacation and had a fantastic time! The instructors were super helpful, welcoming, and friendly. They provided a lot of really useful information and came out in the water with us to help us position our boards and give us feedback. We were able to consistently stand on the board after a little while. We had a ton of fun and would strongly recommend!

Great lessons, patient with an open ear, I had Owen he was amazing, highly recommended, good prici8,& they are very honest, they by mistake overcharged & before I even noticed it they brought it to my intention & refunded it

The Go Surf LA team is wonderful. Responsive. Flexible. Easy to communicate with. Loved our instructor - Jared. Super patient. Explained everything from history of surfing, to how best to paddle, balance, get up on the board, which waves to take and when, and etc. He went into the water with my 12-year old and I and was very patient while we failed miserably many times. Was very encouraging the whole time until we finally got up a couple of times! We will definitely be taking more lessons. Highly recommend this team and Jared.
