Overall Rating

they have to be hiring people to write positive reviews ‘cause there’s no way anyone who’s actually been here had a good time. worst night of my life. if i could give zero stars, i would.

The venue is nice. I found street parking right outside the club. Clean restrooms. Friendly bartender. Great sound system. Small smoking area.
My only issue is the price of the booze. I bet the bar would make more money if the drink prices were cheaper.
I’ll probably come back.

Saw Heart Attack Man here a few weeks back, they were fantastic, the Peppermint Club not so much. Not sure why this venue would book a punk show when they clearly are not interested in actually having a punk show. The several hundred copies of Catcher in the Rye on the bookshelves on stage really set the mood of the venue: cursed and extremely pretentious. They gave the band a hard time about setting up a merch table (the industry standard and the main way bands make any money on tour, told the band that they frequently book much bigger artists which is just a strange and rude thing to say), didn't let the band ride their tricycle out to the stage, the sound guy was awful, drinks were ridiculously overpriced ($15 for a shot of vodka!), and they even threw out a guy who crowd-surfed and threatened to throw out anyone else (very typical at these kinds of shows). I hope to never return to this venue.

Would give zero stars if I could. As a past review says: They take zero consideration of the artists & guests. Not customer/guest friendly-- This place is mainly for looks & for the big bucks, you can tell by the sound quality & how unprofessional the staff is. The bands & entertainment are great, but the staff is awful. They forget artists & their guests chose & paid to be at this club. Most uncomfortable place ever. Save your money & take yourself elsewhere, please.

This is the waiting room to hell. Owner and employees were all very rude. Bad vibes, bad sound, nothing but bad times to be had here. I don’t know what I did to anger god so badly that I ended up spending an evening figuratively burning alive in this dumpster fire of a club.

Pretty cool place, small and intimate with a fun retro vibe. Security and bartenders were nice. Wish they would list parking information on their website though. The street parking is 2hrs only until midnight, so I parked at 8733 Beverly Blvd which is super close to the venue.

Cozy, dark lounge space to catch live music acts at, zero seating prepared to stand.
Very efficient bar in the round for drinks during the performance.
Security could be more customer friendly, this is not the COPA in the 70s.

Came here to see Samuel Larsen perfom literally the week before the Sars cov2 shutdown and it was nice. The place is set up almost old school 30’s feel in a sense with the lighting and woodwork, had an old fashioned that was good.

My experience has been much better than these recent 1 star reviews. I've been here about 3 times in the last month to see friends bands play. It is nice venue to see music. The wood work on the walls is amazing and does the acoustics of the club better than other music rooms. The crowd does seem a bit full of themselves but it is Beverly Hills.
