Best Persian restaurant ever! The food never fails and is delicious. I love the juicy chicken, but the meats are amazing, too.
Our favorite waiter is Pedro. He gives the best recommendations and the best care!! Ask for him!! He will make sure you have a great breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

One of the best persian restaurants in LA County. You will enjoy the quality of meat. Although the restaurant interior is a bit outdated, it can definitely bring you some nostalgia. Overall our top choice for persian kebab. There is plenty of free parking at the back

Darya is where I go when I want good Persian food. I love the shish kabobs and koobideh. I love the varieties of Persian rice and the eggplant dishes. I also love the elegant setting and relaxed atmosphere. It is a place where you can actually have a conversation without having to raise your voice six levels. Our service was wonderful. We agreed it was the best dining experience we have had in years.

This place serves excellent Persian food. I was surprised that it only has a 4.3 as I've been to a ton of similar restaurants in LA and this one is one of the best. Considering how much food you get, the prices are really reasonable, the staff is friendly and very fast.

My only complaint is it gets a bit cold inside. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for really great kebab, rice, and/or other Persian dishes.

I had my first real Persian restaurant food. I was quite impressed with how the Baghali Polo lamb shank came out. The meat was so tender and juicy. I loved the basmati rice topped with saffron, lima beans, and sumac; it tasted so good with the flatbread. I had a piece of the chicken too; it was good, but the lamb was much better. The Shirazi Persian salad was good too. I had my order for delivery. The portion sizes were pretty decent where I got 3 meals out of it. I cannot wait to try different items on the menu next time.

We've been eating at Darya for decades, and have never been disappointed. The food, the ambience, and the service are top notch. If you're interested in Persian cuisine at a reasonable price in Los Angeles area, then Darya is it. It will delight you!

Terrible service. If you are looking for hospitality and professionalism, look elsewhere. Visited together with my girlfriend, and the restaurant was 3/4 empty. We were given the choice of table from the welcoming host, and decided to go with a window facing table. A few minutes after sitting down, a server walks up, asks how many people are in our party (obviously 2 as clear from the beginning), and places a table reserved sign right in front of me. He says "Sorry, this table is reserved for 4". Mind you, there was no reserved sign before. I'm trying to explain to him that we were offered this table by the host all the while another party of 2 is sitting right behind us at an identical table setup. And again, the restaurant is only 1/4 occupied. Long story short, we were forced to move regardless, which we did...to another restaurant.
*Update: I do appreciate the restaurant managers follow-up and explanation. It was an unfortunate situation that I wish was handled better. I do try to support local neighborhood restaurants and will consider to visit again.

45 minutes between being seated to getting food when the place had 1/4 seats full. The food seems identical to what you'd expect from a food truck, but restaurant prices. The decor is gaudy. The food itself was decent and well proportioned and the service was polite.

The juicy chicken kebab is probably amongst one of the best I’ve had. The Tahdig was great too. The food overall was great. The decor, owner’s lack of friendliness and cash only is the only reason I dropped a star. Highly recommend.

As an Iranian, I can attest that you can get the same delicious food that you’d get in Iran at this place.
Unfortunately most Iranian restaurants in LA are pretty mediocre at best and definitely Darya stands out.
The meat is fresh and tender, the rice is just perfect and I’d highly recommend their Tahdig appetizer as well.
The staff is friendly and professional, and shoutout to our Latino waiter who put the effort to learn Farsi to communicate with us.
