This is a Gr8 experience to be able to have quality events like these in Mid-City Crenshaw area. The Underground Museum is a very unique place & not to be missed or go unnoticed. Amazingly all of this in Our very diverse neighborhood. Life is good.

Beautiful and insightful publication on Noah Davis by Helen Molesworth, published David Zwirner Books and obviously the Underground Museum. A great painter and installation artist, Davis also founded The Underground Museum, a highend gallery in a neighborhood that had no cultural outlets. In my opinion doing what large cultural institutions should do rather than continuously expending. Buy now

This is a very unique art space. Not such a boring museum as we are used to seeing, but a really fascinating place where there are always a lot of people (I have been here 2 times), even though it is small in size. There is also a picnic backyard where you can have a drink or a bite to eat. It's great that there are places like this in LA!

I took my niece from out of town and had a great time. We ponied up for VIP tix and had Vincent as a photog - who was really great! Loads of awesome photos that teenagers like to post on social media.

What a great show. Remember to visit the garden, it is magical. The staff is very kind to encourage all visitors to check out the garden.

Hidden gem, lots of cultural events...yoga, meditation, and movie screening, along with art exhibits. I, my daughter, grand daughter and neighbor took advantage of the sunset yoga class , instructor Uma was such a calm spirit, making the class refreshing and educational. We shall be back.

One of the great art spaces of LA. The exhibit- of the great Noah Davis- is wonderful. Spanning his creative life, with paintings so beautiful, stirring , moving. The gardens, the music flowing, the life loving vibe of the place! Surely a place to return to frequently! A great experience!

This place is amazing, simply put. Radiates “cool” - definitely not your typical stodgy gallery, this place is really engaging and exciting, as evidenced by they being at capacity at nearly all events!! Hoping this institution isn’t altered too much following the pandemic.

Very unique space and literally Underground. We pasted the place without seeing it but once inside you don’t want to leave it anymore. The garden patio in the back is a peaceful place you will just feel as out of the world.

A really beautiful space, with a bookstore in front, a gallery space, a bar/cafe area and a beautiful outdoor/garden space that hosts many events - concerts, film screenings and more. There is currently a space to pay tribute to Nipsey Hussle set up outside as well.

Many incredible books, records etc on sale at the bookstore.

It's a fun little space for rotating exhibits. Fairly small so I'd say it's not worth going out of your way unless you're really interested in the current exhibit. Has a really nice back yard area.

Came here on a whim and in glad I did. The pieces are incredible and thought provoking. Even the bathroom had me shook lol. Check out the outdoor area. It's a great place to sit and enjoy the environment and reflect on your experience at the museum.

Excellent space for contemporary art, focusing on artists of color. Amazing programming and definitely worth a visit. Open until 7 and also has a very nice backyard.

We enjoyed the exhibit a lot. The gallery was well designed and thoughtfully presented, and he overall experience was excellent. We especially appreciated the guided tour that Justin gave us. I look forward to the next show.

An unexpected contemporary museum in a non traditional setting. The artist Barnes, first name escapes me had a provocative collection of photographs and collage that was most interesting. I will definitely go again.

Dannielle Tolentino 4 stars rating.

I love LA for its art galleries and museums. Wanted to check out the local gems and this was pretty darn aesthetically pleasing. The small garden in the back was beautiful with the Sun shining through the multi colored panels. It was a quick walk through but I do enjoy appreciating the work. The building is painted all black and doesn't say "the underground..." Just in case you get turned around.

A must see!! The artwork makes you think and then makes you think again. The garden is purple, my favorite color. The garden was so relaxing, my friends and I did not want to leave. The people that work at the museum are very nice. The gentleman had such knowledge and answered our questions completely, I could see he loves his work. Thank you and I will be back.
